***Male dancers are required to always wear a dance belt.  Fitted t-shirts are acceptable in all classes and dance pants are also acceptable. Non-binary dancers may follow either set of guidelines.

Acro-Conditioning

Girls: Black leotard, footless skin-tone tights under leo (optional form-fitted shorts over tights and leo) or form fitting leggings, acro shoes or barefoot (no socks!), hair in a bun.

Boys: Form fitting shirt (tucked) or black leotard, dance belt (or equivalent) stretchable shorts longer than fingertips but form fitted -no loose clothing, acro shoes or barefoot (no socks!), hair nicely combed.

 

Pre-Ballet & Ballet I

Girls: Pink leotard (dancers who are age 10 and older may wear a black leotard), pink tights (Capezio #1916) and pink Ballet slippers. Hair in a bun if long or pulled away from face if short.

Boys: White T-shirt/leotard, dance belt, black tights, Jazz pants, sweats or bike shorts, white socks and black Ballet shoes. Hair neatly combed.

 

Ballet II & III

Girls: Black leotard, pink tights (Capezio #1916) and pink Ballet slippers. Hair in a bun if long or pulled away from face if short.

Boys: White T-shirt/leotard, dance belt, black tights, Jazz pants, sweats or bike shorts, white socks and black Ballet shoes. Hair neatly combed.

 

Ballet IV & V

Girls: Black, Navy, Dark Green, Dark Purple, or Maroon leotard (dark tones), pink tights (Capezio #1916) and pink Ballet slippers. Hair in a bun if long or pulled away from face if short.

Boys: White T-shirt/Black, Navy, Dark Green, Dark Purple, or Maroon leotard (dark tones), dance belt, black tights, Jazz pants, sweats or bike shorts, white socks and black Ballet shoes. Hair neatly combed.

 

Baton Twirling

Girls: Black leotard, skin-tone tights under leo (optional fitted shorts over tights and leo) or form fitting leggings, tan Jazz shoes, hair in a bun

Boys: Form fitting shirt (tucked) or black leotard, stretchable shorts longer than fingertips but form fitted - no loose clothing, tan Jazz shoes, hair nicely combed

 

Combo

Girls: Leotard of student’s color choice, pink tights (Capezio #1916), pink Ballet slippers, and black Tap shoes. Hair in a bun if long or pulled away from face if short.

Boys: White T-shirt/leotard, dance belt, black tights, Jazz pants, sweats or bike shorts, white socks, black Ballet shoes,

and black Tap shoes. Hair neatly combed.

 

Baby Ballet/Dance Discovery and Creative Movement

Pink tights, pink leotard, tutu or skirt if desired (must be attached to leotard so it’s not a distraction), and pink leather Ballet slippers. Hair in a bun if long or pulled away from face if short.

 

Hip-Hop/Hippitee Hop

Loose clothing that will not restrict movement. Clean tennis shoes or dance sneakers (indoor/dance class use ONLY; no outdoor shoes permitted) can be any color for class. For dancers participating in Summer Concert, acceptable shoe colors are all black, all white, or a combination of both.

 

Jazz

Leotard and tights of student’s color choice. Leggings or fitted shorts and dance top also acceptable over leotard and tights.

Additional layers may be worn for warm-up but removed at instructor request. Tan jazz shoes required (Capezio #EJ2 or Bloch #SO403L recommended). Boys must wear dance belt or similar. Hair secured out of face.

Hip-Hop/Jazz

Dancers’ choice of either: leotard, tan tights, and leggings or fitted shorts and dance top also acceptable over leotard and tights OR addition of t-shirt and loose pants. Required shoe is Tan Jazz. Hair secured out of face.

 

Lyrical & Contemporary

Leotard and tights of student’s color choice. Leggings or fitted shorts and dance top also acceptable over leotard and tights. Additional layers may be worn for warm-up but removed at instructor request. Tan Lyrical Half Soles. (Boys must wear dance belt or similar). Hair secured out of face.

 

Musical Theater Dance

Leotard and tights of student’s color choice. Leggings or fitted shorts and dance top also acceptable over leotard and tights. Tan Jazz shoes, Capezio #EJ2 or Bloch

 #SO403L recommended. Hair secured out of face.

 

Tap

Leotard and tights of student’s color choice. Leggings or fitted shorts and dance top are also acceptable. (NO bootie shorts or jeans!) Black tap shoes. Hair secured out of face.
