10/13/08: Aloha, Kaleidoscope Dancers from El Dorado Dance Academy.

El Dorado Dance Academy's Kaleidoscope, Prism and Spectrum Touring Dance Companies will tour to Hawaii this summer, in July 2009. EDDA's dancers will perform all dance styles including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Lyrical and Musical Theatre styles at Pearl Harbor, The Polynesian Cultural Center and at the famous Ala Moana Shopping Complex. In addition to performing, the dance students of El Dorado Dance Academy will enjoy a Luau and learn Hawaiian Hula from a Kumu Hula, a Hula Master.

7/15/08: EDDA's sixth annual Dance Jubilee!

El Dorado Dance Academy's sixth annual Dance Jubilee! will be held the first saturday in August from 10am to 4pm, hosting a wide range of classes open to the public! Come a experience fun and professional classes for free, including the following types of dance: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Polynesian, Bellydance and Clogging. 8/24/07: Chicago's Daley Plaza, here we come!

El Dorado Dance Academy's Kaleidoscope, Prism and Spectrum Touring Dance Companies have been accepted to perform at Daley Plaza under the Picasso stabile in Chicago this Spring. EDDA's dancers will perform all dance styles including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Lyrical and Musical Theatre styles in order to showcase a Kaleidoscope of talent from California. The troupe will stop in to Barack Obama's campaign headquarters to say hello, while also visitng the Sear's Tower and Pizzaria Uno for authentic deep dish pizza. "This tour will certainly be fun", states, Company Director Debi Worth. "Butthis is really meant to be a 'training tour'. My dancers will have the chance to take master classes. We've arranged to study at the famous Gus Giordano Studio in Evanston, Illinois and at Hubbard Street Dance Center in downtown Chicago." Break a leg, Kaleidoscope Productions!

12/1/06: El Dorado Dance Academy will tour to China in July 2007!

El Dorado Dance Academy's touring Company Kaleidoscope will tour to Hong Kong and Beijing this summer. They have been accepted to perform at Hong Kong Disneyland, at a orphanage and at the Great Wall of China. Aditionally, EDDA's group of 15 dancing youths will do a dance exchange with one of Beijing's finest dance Schools, teaching the Chinese dancers American style Hip-Hop, while our dancers from El Dorado Hills will learn traditional Chinese dance. "I am so excited to perform at the Great Wall of China!" exclaims Shalisa Mueller, one of EDDA's dancers on the tour. "I loved dancing in Japan in 2005, and of course New York in 2006 was awesome. But China? Wow. This will really be an experience".

3/20/06: El Dorado Dance Academy will host Afritendo, Ugandan dance troupe--Open to the public.

During their three month tour of the United States, Afritendo, an African dance and accapella song troupe will make one of their performance stops at El Dorado Dance Academy in El Dorado Hills. "What an honor to host this inspiring group", says Director Debi Worth. "Right here at our studio, students of dance, and anyone who wishes to come, will have the chance to study African traditional dance and experience Afritendo's amazing vocal selections". 1/17/05: El Dorado Dance Academy's Touring Company Kaleidoscope Company will perform in Japan this summer!

To be featured at Tokyo Disneyland, Kaleidoscope dancers will also perform for the city hall and mayor of Atsugi, in Tokyo. Other performance engagements will include numerous elemntary and middle school presentations, and a dance-off at the high school, too-- sharing styles with Kojo High School, home to Japan's top cheer squad. The studio's dancers from El Dorado Hills, Placerville, Cameron Park and Folsom areas will do homestays with local Japanese families during their 10 days in the host country. Kaleidoscope Company Director, Debi Davis Worth lived in Japan for three years and speaks Japanese, which will aid in fostering excellent cross-cultural relations. Her vision for Kaleidoscope is for the American students to act as cultural ambassadors for all American youth, a true Kaleidoscope of people, ideas, body shapes and sizes and belief systems that comprise the American social and cultural landscape. Her dancers train over 10 hours a week in all dance styles including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop and Lyrical in order to showcase a Kaleidoscope of dance, as well.

11/15/04: El Dorado Dance Academy's Resident Touring Company Kaleidoscope and Prism Apprentice Company will perform at Garbeau's Dinner Theater from November 18–21, 2004, in "A Garbeau's Christmas".

Garbeau's owner, David Czarneke contacted El Dorado Dance Academy's Director, Debi Davis-Worth to do a collaborative project for the holiday season. EDDA's dancers are known to be extremely multi-disciplined. Their performance piece will showcase 14 dancers, ages 8 to 18, opening ACTII of "A Garbeau's Christmas" with a holiday montage including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop and Lyrical.

12/13/03: El Dorado Dance Academy Hosts El Dorado Arts Council's 'An Evening In Art'

El Dorado Dance Academy proudly hosted the El Dorado Arts Council's 'An Evening In Art', a fun filled evening featuring live music from local musicians, food, local art, and internationally renown works from the Weinstein Gallery in San Franscisco. All proceeds benefited the El Dorado Arts Council which provides innovative and educational art programs and supports the arts throughout El Dorado County.

7/14/03: El Dorado Dance Academy's First Annual Dance Jubilee!

El Dorado Dance Academy in El Dorado Hills will open its doors Saturday, August 2nd. Celebrating its opening with the first annual Dance Jubilee!, El Dorado Dance Academy will host a full day (10 am to 7pm) of free dance classes, raffle prizes, face painting, snacks and open house tours of the 3400 square foot 3 studio facility.

Owner and executive director of the new dance studio, Debi Davis Worth (M.A. Dance Studies) has returned to El Dorado County after 12 years living, dancing and teaching in L.A., New York, London and Japan. Former member of Expressions touring company and protege of Kim L. Nead, Ms. Davis secured her first professional contract at the age of 17 dancing with the Music Circus Broadway series Camelot, and since then toured widely as a professional dancer and choreographer for stage and television. She obtained her Master's degree in Dance Studies in London, while teaching in the University Dance Department.
